Hello. Good time had by all last night. Rick was very very drunk – wonder if he got home ok 
… I forgot to take my camera, but I’m sure I’ll be able to grab copies of the pictures that were taken – watch this space. Today, despite the weather, we are going to Wildwood (a wildlife park (of sorts), not a film).
This story caught my eye today. Microsoft have agreed to a $1.1bn settlement, but don’t like the fact that Lindows are urging people to claim. The fact of the matter is, however, that they don’t have to like it, they just have to pay (Californians! Claim! Claim! Claim! Otherwise MS just gets to keep your money!)

And it’s Monday – joy joy. This week I have some mildly interesting XML and XSLT work to do, followed by finishing off some work on my latest live project, and then back XML/XSLT again. And then it’s the Gist IT Christmas Party on Friday, something I am strangely looking forward to.

Good morning everyone. I dunno… you wait months for a decent game, and then 2 come along at once… Knights Of The Old Republic and Live For Speed. Both fantastic. Both eating up an inordinate amount of my time… A day of random dev stuff today, with maybe a bit of db stuff thrown in.

Ah the weekend…
Did I say that last week’s course was good? I did? Well, it really was. The instructor (site) was very knowledgeable, and one of a rare breed of techies who can talk to people. I recommend the training company heartily.
So today I have been coding (look at me, ma, I’m all inspired) – and have finished my first ever proper MVC web app. And it works. And I can see the benefits. (And the war’s over, elvis is dead and we won the world cup…)

Lack of updates… apologies. I am on a course until Thursday, learning the inticracies of J2EE web development – all very good stuff and very worthwhile. Eseentially a clarification of how not to do things, and we are scoring a near full house in ‘evilness-bingo’ … WARM today – we are in a non-airconned office – nice. Oh, and don’t tel anyone but I’m playing golf tonight… oh the horror.
I am off for a family gathering up north for the weekend. It’s been a slow day with things on my mind. Thankyou for keeping me occupied. Why does tidying an inbox take so long?

Monday monday… My eyes ache already. Business logic coding today – yipee… Everyone seems to have a >:( face today. None of it our fault. Sod the lot of ‘em, I say – I’m off for a coffee.
Wednesday already. Class model for the new web project is growing. And it appears to all work so far. Metallica’s new album is pretty good (go buy it, now), and I cannot wait to see them in August (TWICE! ). Binary is alive and well once more, and talking to the world. Many thanks to all involved.
