Treason and Plot

Last weekend gave everyone the perfect excuse for blowing stuff up. We went to the Whitstable firework display (since the local one was cancelled due to ‘problems with the firework supplier’), which was OK, but not as good as last year’s spectacle from the local harbour arm. I wanted more ear-drum-bursting bangs, instead of the array of phuts we got.

Anyhoo, I took my camera, but only got one (yes, one) decent image. Pah. Here it is…

  1. Yay – fireworks. I personally feel the same; while it might be technically more impressive to have things in colours and patterns, the dog loving, elderly have pretty much had their way for too long – I say bring back the mortar launched air bombs!

Cally worked that night A&E and I was almost (almost) disappointed that it wasnt a Somme reinaction group of an evening – no firework related injuries at all. Are we all going soft?

My most lasting memory of a firework display was back at the old Kings Road (where it went between Winches Field and the harbour arm). This finale “Shell” whumped off of the ground before the rocket kicked in and took it spiraling up almost out of sound. The maroon like boom that went off was big enough to leave a lasting memory years on. Loved it. More pleased!
